Eleven months of fun and entertainment... thats how i can express what babies give their parents during their first year of growth.just the other day my baby, alisha, was born and today shes eleven months already.she completed 10 months on the 18th of october and soon its gonna be her birthday, her first birthday ever... that will be so cute to see her blow out her candles and cut her cake.am waiting to celebrate that day in a grand way and make it a remembrance for a lifetime:)but god willing is the word:) my cutie grew so quickly right in front of my eyes and shes already so smart coz she does have her way on the computer too... so buddies, dont blame me for not responding back in time(wink) my babies got some assignments to finish.see for yourself in the pics:)

activities she loves
as the musics on, my doll wont stop herself from shaking to the rhythm and singing in her babyish style... thats the most exciting thing one can see at this stage.she even loves watching tv as much as i do!... loves bashing up her elder bro with whatever she finds, luckily i dont keep boulders in her way:)... she loves my handbag, tries to eat up everything in there like money, makeup etc but puts them back so obediently after a little scolding from me... points to everything she recognises and talks to me in a babbling way(i love this new milestone alot)coz i try to figure out what she says and that leaves me feeling so much more excited and loving towards her.

she hates
bathing:) sees the tub of water and cries but once in the water shes ok with it... yet shes loves seeing her brother bathing and cheers him in glee by clapping her hands.

games she plays
peekaboo.. either with us or with the funny bunnies on the comp... wrestling with her bro(am the undertaker, says she).. haha..

she eats
rice, dal, veggies, cerealac(rice and fruit).. recently introduced egg yolk and fish but that didnt seem to suit her.

sleep timings
that doesnt seem to match the time with her mamma and i end with lack of sleep which is why i look no less than a panda bear!

there could be some hard times when crawling makes it so much more tougher for me but the amount of happiness she bought into my life makes every moment with her seem so easy and every unfulfilled dream seeme to have come true.only those who live with babies can understand how a baby can change those dark days into lighted ones...

mommas dont you agree with me? need to share something about your baby, you are most welcome to do so in the comment box:)

Prashant Tamang

I've just watched the grand finale of the Indian idol 3 with my whole family and as i never thought who would win, did actually turn out the as the winner and thats prashant tamang from Darjeeling, he was a constable in the Calcutta police and thats the city from where i belong! so am happy... but i thought amit paul his rival and best friend would win.

nice that both are the best of friends and both are winners in their own way.you could see how happy pashant was when he was announced as the winner by john, he hugged amit for a few mins and then thanked his mother,Calcutta police and the public "I thank my mother, public and Bengal police for granting me the permission for participating in the show" he said.he then took amit along with him as he walked up to the front of the stage as they both held the winning prize.hes got a contract for Rs 1 crore now... and a car.so lets all wish him the best for his journey ahead.
Amit Paul

i love these type of reality shows where so many youngsters are given opportunities to bring out their talents by contesting and its not only the winners who make it big but so many new talents can see their greatest dreams come...

who did you think would win??? and are you satisfied with the results now??? please leave you comments below, on your views about the results... some people say that amit deserved to win as he had a better voice.. what do you say?

I guess most of our digital camera’s are for traveling. Whether we take pictures at school events or on a vacation we need our digital cameras to work when we are ready for them.

The type of battery our digital camera takes is very important. There are two types of batteries that the new digital cameras use: the AA battery and rechargeable battery. I find the digital camera that use the AA batteries is far better. You can always keep spares and back up batteries with you in your camera bag or in your purse or shirt pocket, where they are always available. When the rechargeable battery digital camera loses power you have to stop to recharge it. This can be inconvenient and sometimes hard to do with the uncertain power sources in some foreign countries.

So when you get your new camera always replace the batteries that came with thedigital camera with a heavy duty alkaline AA. They will last longer. Be sure to take the AA batteries out of the digital camera if it is not being used for an extended period of time because AA batteries may leak. The LCD camera screen uses power, too. So use it sparingly. This will extend the life of your batteries.

If you are traveling or taking picture of a one time event, don’t put all your pictures on one memory card. If for some unexplained reason your pictures won’t download, you have not lost all your once-in-a-lifetime pictures. Flash memory technology can be imperfect. You should clear your media card after you download it each time. Reusing the media card without formatting as your digital camera’s user manual instructs can lead to corrupt files. It can be expensive and time consuming to retrieve those lost pictures. So you might want to use several memory cards; 4 or 5 is not too many for a long vacation.

You may be worried about taking your camera on airplane travel. Most sources say the x-ray machines won’t damage your memory card. But if you are still concerned, you can archive your photos to a compact disc before you return on the airplane. This will give you an added level of confidence that your photos will be safe when you return home. Most of all don’t forget to pack your digital camera in your carry on bag. Don’t check anything that is essential to your cameras use; the AA batteries, memory cards and the user’s manual. Yes, the user’s manual. You may find it handy if you suddenly get an unexplained error code or you may want to try a new feature of your camera.

Take care of your memory card. Store it in a waterproof location. You can store the memory card in your camera case, a memory card wallet or even a plastic case. Rain, high humidity or contact with water can damage your memory card files.

Have fun with your digital camera. Just be sure to pack extras: extra batteries, extra memory cards and your user’s manual. You will be ready to take wonderful pictures.

Its one of the most rapid spreading topic these days but has no authentic source of confirmation.. am looking for the truth myself since the news reached my ears.some say shes a convert now, others say its just a rumour.. i hope that rumours dont keep spreading out of curiosity and lack of research but people should seek the truth instead, so that others can be exposed to real facts rather then assumptions...

what you got to say about the picture above? Mecca and Medina, shown as bright stars.. one thing, no one can change and thats Gods call... your call to islam can come through any form.. ask me!

Tagged again!

Am tagged again by rashi, BUT she was so sad that she had done this because i had previously been tagged by raajii!! but as am always a person of principals, ill like to do the tag... which, of course i dont fear of:)) i love jotting down lines about my thoughts and myself.

Here are the rules:
* Players, you must list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of their middle name. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had.
* When you are tagged you need to write your own blog-post containing your own middle name game facts.
* At the end of your blog-post, you need to choose one person for each letter of your middle name to tag.
* Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged.

my middle name is "ANN"... short and sweet!!hehe

A.. when my daughter ALISHA was born, i preferred to name her only with this specific letter!! my sons name is ARYAN!!

N.. Doesnt this letter sound fimiliar to you? is it the letter that my name begins with!!

N.. "Noooo" Never say this to anyone in Need!!

It seems like every time you turn around someone is telling pregnant women to avoid something.

A healthy, well-balanced diet is important during pregnancy. Most fresh foods are wholesome and safe to eat, however some foods should be avoided during pregnancy.

What not to eat when you are pregnant:

Raw Meats and Seafood including sushi - all uncooked and rare meats and seafood should be avoided due to high risk of listeria and salmonella poisoning.

Deli meats including hot dogs - these deli meats might be contaminated with listeria bacteria which may result in miscarriage or even a stillbirth. It's safe to eat deli meats if you reheat them until steaming hot.

Refrigerated smoked seafood - for the same reason of listeria contamination. It is safe if they are contained in cooked dishes. Canned and shelf-stable versions are safe to eat.

Raw eggs - raw eggs may contain salmonella. Some Caesar salad dressings, mayonnaise, homemade ice cream and custards as well as Hollandaise sauces may be made with raw eggs. It is best to check with your server in a restaurant; if in doubt, it is best to avoid it. In addition, unpasteurized eggnog should be avoided.

Fish high in mercury - avoid high-mercury fish such as Shark, Swordfish, King Mackerel and Tilefish. Also limit fish intake to no more than 2 servings per week. For more info - read Is it Safe to eat Fish during Pregnancy?

Soft cheese - avoid the following soft cheeses: Feta, Brie, and Camembert cheeses, blue-veined cheeses, queso blanco, queso fresco and Panela. They are safe to eat if they are labelled pasteurized.

Refrigerated pâtes or meat spreads - for the same reason of listeria contamination. It is safe to eat the canned or shelf-stable versions.

Liver - liver is a rich source of iron. However it contains a high level of Vitamin A. Large amounts of Vitamin A can be harmful to the baby.

Unpasteurized milk and juices

Alcohol - many documented fetal abnormalities and birth defects have been associated with alcohol use during pregnancy.

The secret to a glowing skin derives from just a two minute daily routine twice a day... washing, cleansing, toning and moisturising... it helps to keep the skin looking fresh and works wonders if you continue to pamper your skin, this way.

you dont need loads and loads of facials or beauty products to rip you skin of its tiredness or to retain its glow... you will only land up hurting your skin! after all what matters is a glowing skin so just take care to drink plenty of water and follow a careful diet

washing:(an option)avoid soaps and always use a face wash that suits your skin type.gently massage the cream/gel on your face in circular movements then splash water continuously til the lathers rinses off

cleansing:it is important to thorough cleanse your face every morning to eliminate any built-up bacteria.work a small amount of cleanser into skin, rinse well, and gently blot dry

toning:this improve the skin’s texture, removes the last traces of cleanser and also closes your pores.if you have dry skin, use an alcohol-free toner.try rosewater

moisturising:just as the rest of you body requires hydration and nutrients, so does your skin.for the day a moisturizer that provides a broad-spectrum sunscreen can be used.at night use a more intense moisturizer which will help to rebalance and normalize your skin as you sleep.

these tips do wonders for me:) try them or simply comment and let me know whats your secret to a healthy and glowing skin...
