April fools day isn't going to be observed tomorrow! ya obviously its not the 1st of april tomorrow.. hehehe see i've already fooled you? no, yes? whatever.. but i still remember the day i played this harmless but mean prank on my hubby.. I gave him salted tea to drink in the morning, for breakfast! There was an actual cup of tea prepared in the kitchen though:) go Here for some more information on April fools day

pranks:
Coat your family member/friends soap with a transparent nail polish before their shower.. when they try lathering the soap, it wont! hehehe mean one ha?

Confuse your friend/family member by chasing an imaginative fly around the room.. then swap the fly on the couch, grab and swallow it! its just a raisin you'll place there, beforehand..

Glue on the cap of your family members/friends water bottle, shampoo, hair gel etc.. and get them to act like crazy while trying to open the cap!

Reset your family members/friends time piece to one or two hours early of the actual time.

Take your victim’s sweater, turn it inside out and tie knots in the sleeves. Then turn the back the right way (with the sleeves still partly inside out).. Watch them struggle to get their sweater on!

Replace similar pens with caps glued on, with pens that your friends use.

Aprils fools day pranks are meant to taken lightheartedly so be fooled and fool others too!

My boy Aryan!

This boy is my first kid Aryan at two years, hes 7 years at present but a computer genius withen him. Knows everything from Google searches, to emailing, to registration(of course with some help), profile filling and even chatting... at 7?? Now isn't that amazing?? He is a sensible child and picks up things at the drop of a hat but i do take strict measures to see that there is always foolproof Internet safety.

The thing is that there is an innocent sibling rivalry between him and the younger one, a toddler, and that does tend to take to bullying his younger sis 'Alisha'... I think the world does have this problem or is it just me whose worrying too much??? He does get a bit of spanking for mischievousness but we do try to make his live perfect in every best way we can. Sometimes giving into him and sometimes not for if he never experiences the pain of frustration, he most probably won’t ever develop psychological skills that are crucial for his future happiness... I want the best for him for his future just as any parent would want so.

Have you heard of the cat lady? the name says it all, you think so?? take a look at the pictures below.. doesn't it get you thinking, you wouldn't want to ruin your pretty face, come what may?? even if you aren't good looking, why would one want to opt for the knife not once, not twice but umpteen times!!?? But of course, our celebrities and socialites have enough of leaves(money) hehehe.. i feel so sorry for them especially the ones who go out of the way to spend millions going under the knife and what they get in return is nothing but a face moulded in plastic!! At first, i was shocked at seeing the pictures but i went on to realize it was indeed, a sad story.. You better view the pictures at your own risk:)

The lady celebrity Jocelyn Wildenstein had undergone plastic surgeries worth millions to transform her once normal pretty face in into a giant cat! And the saddest thing is that she decided on it, just to win back the heart of the man she once loved. Why on earth? because he ditched her for some Russian model.. she won him back or not, no idea, but she did have to face hell after the surgeries. On seeing her the first time after the surgery that supposed to transform her into a cat, he screamed in fright at the creature he didn't recognize as his wife!.. oh how terrible it may have been for her and for Alec too.. people have gone out of their way to dub her the Bride of Wildenstein and other nasty names. Is it sad? or awful? please feel free to leave your comments and opinions below:)

We are nearing Easter Sunday so soon, the most important festival for the Christians! It is this coming Sunday and my kids and me, are waiting when we'll be able to relish the yummy hot cross buns and the Easter eggs made of chocolate and marzipan. But before that comes good Friday, three days before Easter Sunday.. and this day is observed in prayers and fasting so that we are able to feel a bit of what Christ has been through, when he was crucified on the cross.

GOOD FRIDAY..
Is not a celebration day for the Christians. They believe according to Scripture, that Jesus Christ was executed by crucifixion. His body was taken down from the cross, and buried in a cave. The tomb was guarded and an enormous stone was put over the entrance, so that no-one could steal the body.Christians spend the day in prayers and fasting, and the fast is broken in the evening with hot cross buns only after a three hour service in the church which is held from noon to evening and consists of sermons, hymns, and prayers centered round Christ's "seven last words on the Cross."

EASTER SUNDAY..
is celebrated on the following Sunday.Three days after Christ was buried in tomb, after been taken down from the cross, some women visited the grave and found that the stone had been moved and that the tomb was empty.Jesus himself was seen that day by many people. His followers realised that God had raised Jesus from the dead.Since it is a happy day, the resurrection of Jesus Christ.. a well-attended service is held in the morning and the rest of the day, is spent in glory to god!

What's the story behind the Easter eggs and hot cross buns?

Easter Eggs

Amongst many of the legends told, a Polish legend tells of when Mary Magdalene went to the sepulchre to anoint the body of Jesus. She had with her a basket of eggs to serve as a repast. When she arrived at the sepulchre and uncovered the eggs, lo, the pure white shells had miraculously taken on a rainbow of colors.Since then eggs are decorated beautifully on the outside while the inside is filled with chocolate and given to children as Easter gift baskets and other gifts.decoration differs between countries and cultures and each have their own way of celebrating the festival too.

Hot cross Buns

The term "Hot Cross Bun" refers specifically to a sweet, mildly spiced bun containing currants. To modern Christians, the bun represents the cross and the crucifixion of Christ and mostly eaten only on Easter(good Friday)..

How do you celebrate the festival of Easter in your country and culture? as usual am curious to know, so please leave your comments below:)

Being a mother to 17 month, pretty baby Alisha, was always so enjoyable.I dont remember a terrifying moment before, but just a few days a ago, baby was down with fever since the morning.Later in the evening due to a high temperature rise, she suffered a fever convulsion.. I did not know what to do then because i hadn't seen anything like that in my entire life.. And to see it happening to my baby, almost killed me.She was rushed her to hospital but till then the convulsion ceased and the doctor said everything was fine, so not to worry.I know you're curious to know what happened.. so read below, please...

Alisha was playing on my lap when all of a sudden i felt her muscles pull and her head began to drop, she was like shaking and jerking uncontrollably. Then i saw her eyes turn up too.She wasn't even breathing properly.. Oh my god! I was trembling all the while, i couldn't see her in that state.. Those moments were very disturbing and i will have to care for her even much more to ensure she doesn't develop a high temperature in the future since the convulsion occurred due to the rise of high temperature and is quite a common thing in toddlers aged 6 months to kids aged 6 years.During this period we parents have to be on high alert for the slightest symptoms of fever, to prevent its recurring to a child who had it before.

I wish no parent should experience anything like this ever.. Its not an uncommon thing and theres no risk as such to the child but when you see your child suffering something, like a fit.. It feels so devastating and horrifying!! Now baby is doing quite fine and under medications and sooon she will be fit and fine.

This post was mainly to create awareness and provide information to parents around the world.. i hope i could do my part on this:)

Time for tips and advice..
Some very important notes i would like to put here for parents who dont have an idea about what is a convulsion, its symptoms and how to prevent it from happening to your baby.

WHAT IS A CONVULSION?
Its a kind of fit or seizure which happens without warning mostly due to a temperature rise. But a number of cases are due to digestive disturbances, by over-feeding.Many cases result from the suppression of skin eruptions. If someone in your family has already been through it, then history could repeat itself.

WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS?
Read the whole of the above to know my experience with it.The child will become unconscious or unaware of their surroundings. There will be movements in their arms in a twitching manner.Their eyes may roll back and have difficulty breathing. The child will fall, if standing, and may pass urine.May vomit and may bite his tongue. The child may not be breathing, and may begin to turn blue.

WHAT TO DO WHEN IT OCCURS?
Firstly try your best not to panic and stay with your child, as the child needs your whole attention now.Note of how long the convulsion lasts.Dont put anything in its mouth or try to stop the convulsion by pressing the baby.Place them on their side with a rolled towel behind them for support.Loosen tight clothing especially from around the neck. Now focus your attention on bringing the fever down by applying cool washcloths to the forehead and neck and sponge the rest of the body with lukewarm(not cold) water. After one to three minutes the child will begin breathing normally again.Seek medical attention at its earliest, please dont take for granted.

I would love to read your comments, so please feel free to share anything that comes to your mind after you read this post..

Wife swap is one of my favourite programmes on TV and i never miss out a week on it.. in fact, sometimes i watch it repeatedly! hehe.. yes your right, its about two wife's who literally swap lives(not bedrooms) with each other for two weeks just to discover how it feels to be in different woman's place. The life she lives, caring for her family, bringing up the kids etc.. in the first week, they have to live by the rules set by the actual wife of the house. In the second week they get to impose the rules, they set, on the family...

Imagine a multimillionaire wife swap lives with a hard working family mom who chops wood 6 hours a day and drives a school bus 5 days a week, to make ends meet! life wasn't a piece of cake for the two.. watch it all on travel and living:)

In one of the episodes, a grandma swaps lives with a young glamorous mom of two. The grandma lives on a farm and looks after her two teen aged grand daughters, but raises them the old fashioned way. No dresses, no make up, no hair color and no low necks too.. the young glamorous mom loves photo sessions in bikinis and clothes that are AS tiny as possible. The best part was when the grandma having to live the life of the young mom for week, had to pose for a photo shoot wearing a bikini!!!! it was hilarious, i tell you! The other glamorous mom had to wake up to cleaning out the farm.. all the mess of stables and all the other animal cages.. she hated it!

Oh my god, i laughed away the whole episode. In the second week they got to impose their rules on the new family and after loads of lashing it out with each other, they learnt from the experience and for the better:) The grandma got a bit lenient and the glamorous mom got a bit stricter as she didn't care even when her daughter wasn't going to school. But after the swap, she did care..

so have you watched the show too? what are your opinions about the whole thing? i am so curious now!!:)
