I've completed my blogs makeover and hope its looking great! This is just one of those attempts to create different themes for myself to exhibit my emotions and moods according to the weeks and months that pass.. I hope i've done something nice for myself by adding this navigation bar below the header which wasn't part of the temp at first! Its quite an easy task to do but with the help of some basic HTML.

I did design or create, and modify a few more temps and one of then i've already put out for downloading. You can view the demo on the love blog on the nav bar and download the temp when you contact me through email, for the link.

Because i've got a mixed topic blog where one would find all sorts of gossip and information, plus some of my personal life and my baby angel daughter Alisha, the header is meant to express and relates to the contents of my blog.

Your kind comments are welcome :-)

I always wished for a gadget where one can store all my files in one place with easy access and Android Storage has just granted this wish. They have laughed the storage where one can store like your music, videos/movies, photos, and files on the web, but make them all available to your android phone too! wouldn't it be nice if you had one click access to all your files without having to actually access your phones memory card? well the storage is designed to provide its users with that very trilling experience.

This allows Google Android phone users to reserve their phone storage for programs and applications and not multimedia and files. Android Storage provides a "virtual" and unlimited memory space for all Android phones and appliances and streams the content seamlessly to and from the phone. It's as if you have memory available locally, yet accessed remotely

If i got the chance to own the phone and its apps i would chose the AStunes app, because it would be enjoyable to listen to all my music and watch my videos too. I'll use it to play all my music files continuously without the need to store it on my phone. I'd use the shuffle option to play my music according to my pleasure and it would be really an experience on heavenly earth.

The site is yet to be lounged and 350 million users are expected to use the Android phone platform in the US and UK. To see if the services are available to you check with http://AndroidStorage.cn.

I've just watched the IPL 2009 which took place at Johannesburg, and the Royal Challengers Bangalore were beaten by the Deccan Chargers who have won the second IPL Trophy.

I was mesmerized by the glitz and glamour of the closing ceremony with all the fireworks in contrast to the African/Indian indo/fusion music. Spectacular performances by Akon, Eddy Grant, Katrina Kaif, Shaimak Daver, and others.

Katrina looked beautiful in a white gown with dazzling jewelery to complement the white. She danced gracefully to the song 'Jai Ho' from the movie 'Slumdog Millionaire', and kept dancing till the end with the male guest star, Akon. I was joking that Salman Khan might be glued to his Tele screen.. hehe..

The crowning of the Bollywood SA contestant winner also took place and she looked stunning in a red attire with red and white diamonds to match.

The drummers, the dancers, the electrifying firework's, the lighted fire lanterns, the musical programmes.. The whole presentation rocked!

The IPL season 2009 ended with a presentation ceremony for the winning cricket team.

I don't have pics of the IPL ceremony right now.. but i'll post them as soon i get them :-)

I love this song by Vanessa Williams. I hardly heard other songs from her but this song is really worth talking about. The lyrics are touching and of course the song is as melodious as ever. A good track by Vanessa, and is added to my list of favorites :-)

You think I'm an ignorant savage
And you've been so many places
I guess it must be so
But still I cannot see
If the savage one is me
How can there be so much that you don't know?
You don't know ...

You think you own whatever land you land on
The Earth is just a dead thing you can claim
But I know every rock and tree and creature
Has a life, has a spirit, has a name

You think the only people who are people
Are the people who look and think like you
But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger
You'll learn things you never knew you never knew

Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned?
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountains?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?

Come run the hidden pine trails of the forest
Come taste the sunsweet berries of the Earth
Come roll in all the riches all around you
And for once, never wonder what they're worth

The rainstorm and the river are my brothers
The heron and the otter are my friends
And we are all connected to each other
In a circle, in a hoop that never ends

How high will the sycamore grow?
If you cut it down, then you'll never know
And you'll never hear the wolf cry to the blue corn moon

For whether we are white or copper skinned
We need to sing with all the voices of the mountains
We need to paint with all the colors of the wind

You can own the Earth and still
All you'll own is Earth until
You can paint with all the colors of the wind

My cousin Michelle who is a few years younger than me is working as a nurse and i don't see one reason why she isn't the typical socialite type of female. I admire her courageous trait and am so proud to be her cousin. She's always completely engrossed with her work life, wakes up early hours and runs to the nursing home whenever she's needed, apart from her actual daily schedule. When i see how loving she is, i wonder what it would feel like to be in the shoes of a nurse, dealing with the numerous sickness's and caring for the impatient and diff types of sick patients.

I also wonder how many of you out there have the interest to become a nurse or to know about the life of one. Scrubs does a great favor to us by taking us into the insight of a nurses life. How would i ever know that we can live every topic associated with our normal lives, through a nurses guide to living! Wonderful, is it? now you can even work wonders on your skin, love, work, money, entertainment or any aspect of your life through a healthy and wise lifestyle.

While going through scrubs, i came across an article that deeply touched me which had a new nurse write to say that patients sometimes ask her to pray in fear. The reply was positive as ever from a senior nurse who claims she too, did feel surprised and awkward when her patient, an old man, asked her to pray for him in front of all the other staff. She said, she did whatever would calm her patient. I can relate to both the nurse's and would feel the same if i was a nurse too. I would feel happy and think that there is no harm and shame in praying with a patient no matter which religion we come from, if it gave hope and calmed a patient in times of acute pain and fear.

I remember some years back i positively finalized my desires to straighten my curly hair one day, because i admired straight jet black hair and mine is the opp! i purchased this straighter and tried it after wetting my hair damp but that resulted in wavy, messy strands instead of silky soft strands. I then gave up after thinking i'll never succeed that way unless i get it professionally permanently straightened and i can do with just my blow dryer for the time being. I dint know that i was using it on wet hair which is not recommended and obviously within a few hours of the hair drying, the result would be scary! haha.. Those were years ago, i still have the wish to straighten my hair temp but waiting for an occasion to come up as an excuse... :-)

Few remedies worth your time and money but are for temp straightening only.. to straighten permanently you will have to opt for the chemical process... :-)

An effective home remedy when there is no alternative:
A hot clothes iron would work fine if nothing is available or your straighter gives up on you. That should come very handy when you've got an important meeting or date and no time to head to the beauty parlor. Lay your hair out flat on the ironing table and iron only the portions below your ears to the ends and be very careful. Don't burn your self or take the iron to close to your skin.. and if you do, don't blame me, i already warned you!

Other options:
Use a hair dryer and a styling brush to comb through your hair while its still damp. A blow dryer would also do fine after a hot water bath.

I've heard that there are diff types of straighteners available in the market like chrome-plated metal irons to gold-plated ones and of course the newest technology, ceramic ones. The ceramic one is known to eliminate frizz and minimize static. So try and research on whatever product you buy and buy the best one!

Do you know someone working in the construction industry, or as an auto mechanic, or a contractor? well, there are chances you can help them prevent themselves from the risk of mesothelioma, a cancer caused by asbestos exposure. Asbestos is particularly dangerous because its fibers are 50 to 200 times thinner than a human hair. This means the fibers can float in the air for extended periods of time and can be easily breathed into the lungs.

Breathing asbestos fibers into the lungs is linked to serious medical conditions, including:

* Mesothelioma – A cancer of the chest lining and abdomen
* Lung Cancer – One of the most serious types of cancer with a high mortality rate
* Asbestosis - A condition where the lungs become scarred with fibrous tissue making it difficult to breath

The risk of Mesothelioma, lung cancer and asbestosis increases with the number of fibers a person inhales. The risk of lung cancer associated with asbestos exposure is also greater among smokers. However, people exposed briefly to asbestos can also suffer from these conditions. The latency period with asbestos related diseases can be unusually long. Often the symptoms of these diseases do not usually appear until about 20 to 30 years after the first exposure to asbestos.

Known as a miracle material for its resistant qualities to fire, who can tell this material can also cause such harm to the workers. Its not that the manufacturers of asbestos dint know of its dangers, before they revealed it to the public. In the past there were many homeless workers left without experienced lawyers to fight for them. Thats the reason a person diagonalized with this type of cancer can now hire a Mesothelioma Lawyer to fight because they are entitled to compensation, and working with an aggressive and experienced mesothelioma attorney makes a big difference to the victims.

I don't have a teen kid because both my kids are below the ages 10, so i don't have to focus on the 'teen age and their problems' right now, but i guess soon i would have to.. esp when there are issues concerned with teen love. But there are many other parents who have problems with teens in love, so here the question is should we leave them to themselves or should we intervene and guide them? well its obvious we got to guide our kids but make sure we don't force our minds too much on to them.

There are things and phases a teen would have to encounter when he/she is dating or is in love. There would amounts of money spent on gifts, late nights, sleepless nights, excess dieting, heart-breaks, hours of chatting over the phone, internet, and loss of interest in normal activities! what parents should do in this case?

According to me, we should use this as the best time to know our kids better and guide them the right way.

Get your child involved with family activities and discuss the importance and benefits of normal clubbing, academics or sports.

Suggest that spending less on gifts is a good idea and that, the same money can be saved up for later or used for better expenses. Also advice that gifts that are simple and not meant to be worn on the body will be reciprocated well by their partner, esp if your kids in a new relationship. This wont taken too personally, leading to matters of more intimate relationships. But if in steady relationship, personal gifts will be valued and treasured.

Kids of this age don't see the world as adults, so we should be careful not to hurt them and respect their real feelings, no matter how unrealistic the relationship might be.

Keep an eye on their activities and who, when and where but respecting their privacy! Better idea would be to involve and enjoy yourself in their interest and activities so that you are aware of the happenings.

Be open and don't point fun their relationships for they might turn secretive about their activities and their relationships in the future, making it tougher for you as a parent.

My #rd music monday meme grabbed from Mariuca.. and am embedding the song 'One moment in time' by another of my favorite singers, Whitney Houston! Songs sung by her always bring tears to the eyes, with great lyrics and of course, we all know what a powerful voice she has :-)

Each day I live
I want to be a day to give the best of me
I'm only one, but not alone
My finest day is yet unknown
I broke my heart for every gain
To taste the sweet, I faced the pain
I rise and fall,
Yet through it all this much remains

I want one moment in time
When I'm more than I thought I could be
When all of my dreams
Are a heart beat away
And the answers are all up to me
Give me one moment in time
When I'm racing with destiny
Then in that one moment of time
I will feel, I will feel eternity

I've lived to be the very best
I want it all, no time for less
I've laid the plans
Now lay the chance here in my hands

Give me one moment in time
When I'm more than I thought I could be
When all of my dreams
Are a heart beat away
And the answers are all up to me
Give me one moment in time
When I'm racing with destiny
Then in that one moment of time
I will feel, I will feel eternity

You're a winner for a lifetime
If you seize that one moment in time
Make it shine

Give me one moment in time
When I'm more than I thought I could be
When all of my dreams
Are a heart beat away
And the answers are all up to me
Give me one moment in time
When I'm racing with destiny
Then in that one moment of time
I will be, I will be, I will be free

I will be, I will be free

The layout for my health-beauty blog(its new) :-)

It's my new layout am gazing at right now on the other page, and its seems am still not satisfied with all the stuff i done. It's not up to my expectations, which i thought would turn out beautifully, but it just looks too odd. The sidebars are too small for the widgets and i guess somethings wrong with the font too! I learn't how to create the rounded bordered columns for blogger templates so was just trying my creativity at it. I do have some.. hehe.. but i guess, just got to improve on it some more.

Well it's just a test layout and i'll be changing it soon, so readers do bare with me for the time being because i've got lots of coding to do if i try to change templates. I've got few more blogs where i actually keep testing the layouts on if they do work fine or not and tweak here and there if necessary. But i hope am able to find and create something exceptional for my blogs so they are soothing, plus pleasant, to the eyes of my readers and myself! :-)

If you do happen to stop by here.. please do tell me how's the layouts and if it does look odd to you too, and why.. i'll be pleased, and will appreciate it with all my heart :-)

Hmm... well yesterday was my son, Aryans birthday and he turned 9 years old which hits me, am turning older too! hehe.. well just by years and not by heart.. i heard a person turns younger as she/he steps on her 30th birthday!? well i'm not yet 30 yet so i guess i'm still growing ;)

OK, so we celebrated with close relatives and friends, not a big affair though, but it was well entertained by me the host, and my guests loved the delicacy's i prepared.. i prepared Chinese!! hehe.. It was the most awaited day for Aryan since this month had begun and there wasn’t a day his excitement didn’t increase. You know how kids get excited at the thought about a party, cakes, gifts etc etc.. we enjoyed the day :-)

About Aryan, my pregnancy and his birth.. going back in time.

Aryan loves playing games on the pc, hes a genius when it comes to it:-). Hes also mischievous and chats with my sister(his aunt of course) from my yahoo, and once told her i'll be reaching her home in five mins(she was waiting for me) and she was bugged with me when i dint turn up and wasn’t receiving the calls coz i was still in the bath!!!

I remember when i was admitted to the nursing home, i was over-date and my doc was furious with me, told me if i was over date and wasn't uncomfortable with unusual pains etc.. i should have checked up earlier. Thank god i've never had to have a c-section, and i always preferred normal delivery to a c-section! I even cried during both my deliveries when i was told i was at risk for normal due to low BP! Believe or not, the people, my relatives thought am crazy to be crying for normal, where as people opted for c-sections these days! I was avoiding the nurses at the nursing home even though i was in pain and they had to check on me from time to time.. but everything went well and Aryan was born after three days of continuous contractions and many hours of actual labor:-)

I was always extraordinary and my greatest strength is the determination i posses :-)

PS. this was a post i had written yesterday but wasn't able to publish because of my terrible internet connections.. :-)

The searches on the web are open to everyone, and we all know that How to start blogging is one of the highest searches, and for many reasons, either to make money online or people are interested in knowing whats a blog and ways to get started.

Search for blogs on Google's search engine which returns the best of the blogs as results. Now look out for blogs which match your interest of whether for business purposes or personal use. Doesn't have to necessarily be the best of blogs that catch the eye, but also blogs that have high content value could come in good use for you but they may not always show up on the main page of Google's index. You will find this out the sooner you read and link to blogs that match the same category of your blog.

Read some of the content on the blogs to know whats being talked about most, the bloggers always love focusing on the current events, topics etc.. these come in handy a lot for their sites to be indexed in a good position on the search engines. Remember that the title and main keywords you choose related to your blog are important and should be used as the blogs main focus.

Once you've also set up your own blog, you can connect to plenty of other blogs through a few blogs, that's because almost every blog is linked to other blogs related to their content. For example; a pregnancy blog would have plenty of other pregnancy sites linked to their site through a blog roll. You can also get yours linked by being a daily reader to blogs.

Leave comments or rather honest opinions on the posts that seem interesting to you, soon you will find comments on your blog too.

Use a feed to subscribe to information that will be sent to your mail without you having to search for it. Let readers subscribe to your blog too, so that they receive your updates easily.

Before you begin blogging you need to chose a platform and here you will find some use information regarding 'CHOOSING THE IDEAL BLOG PLATFORM by Paul Chaney, blog consultant (www.radiantmarketing group.com)'. A few weeks and you will be much into blogging :-)

My second music monday meme grabbed from ladyjava.. so here's my second music monday post, and am embedding the song 'My heart will go on' by one of my favorite singers, Celine Dion, the other being Mariah Carey! Both are my all time favorites which i guess, are irreplaceable.. I relate to 'my heart will go on' in many ways. When titanic released i was in love and the song means so much to me even till today.. though not for the same reason, but i guess my heart always does go on and on and on.. hehe.. so sit back and enjoy the song :-)

My Heart Will Go On lyrics

Every night in my dreams
I see you, I feel you
That is how I know you go on

Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Love can touch us one time
And last for a lifetime
And never let go till we're gone

Love was when I loved you
One true time I hold to
In my life we'll always go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

You're here, there's nothing I fear
And I know that my heart will go on
We'll stay forever this way
You are safe in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Do you believe in astrology? well most of the things written and said are pretty accurate! According to my sun sign, Pisces- am reserved, selfless, compassionate, emotional, sarcastic, imaginative, diplomatic, intuitive etc etc.. and i feel as if am born to project a fish, a mermaid. Its so true that just like fish swim away away from the surface into the dept when its eye catches an object moving towards it, am just the same! Am a born swimmer without my fins, living in a humans body.. hehe..

Well, you should know am pretty mysterious too as people always tell me and that's so true because, i know myself. I am so much on the surface yet i am so deep into the sea. unpredictable, secretive.. lots more to me!

I hate to hurt people by some straight forward talk, most people exaggerate they love to be straight but i dont think its necessary when your loved ones are concerned. I prefer being diplomatic on things that could be deemed offensive or appropriate by them.

I am intuitive to extremes! i dont know how many incidents i've come across when am aware of things happening miles away. I also dont know... i just dont know why if there is someone who has hurt me to death, and i believe they did it, i always find them landing into trouble! oh god, its weird but its true! I guess i suppress to much..

So you see, astro is so strange and has its own mystery. How, when and where, only the stars can tell! There are hardly days when ive never seen my daily horoscope. I dont roll with the way things are written but somewhere i feel am just living according to astrology! So are you an astro freak too? hehe..
